Scott Burnstein has some fantastic content, however the article located at his site has some inconsistencies with other sources. Burnstein's site says: “On May 28, Teamster official and staunch Hoffa loyalist Ralph Proctor was severely beaten in the parking lot of Nemo’s, a frequent gathering spot for Teamsters in Local 299, being that it was located only a few blocks away”. However the Detroit Free Press article of August 1, 1975 says Proctor was badly beaten up by two men in a Marvindale bar “Two weeks earlier” to July 10th, which would have been late June. It specifically does not associate that bar with Nemo’s. Further, the article says and I quote: “On May 17, 1975, Dave Johnston’s boat exploded, harbored on the Detroit River.” However, the New York Times article August 1, 1975 says “the destruction of his 45‐foot cabin cruiser by an explosion in July, 1974.”
