1966-03-01 – [Chicago] The body of Clarence Forrest, shot twice with a .38, is found stuffed in the trunk of a car in St. John, Indiana. Forrest was last seen working at the Eagles A-Go-Go Club 1966-02-26 operated by George Tuffanelli and owned by Frank LaPorte and Louis ‘Gigi’ Pratico. A diary later found by Forrest’s wife indicates Forrest was working for James ‘Turk’ Torello, who at the time works for Fiore ‘Fifi’ Buccieri, and was spying on Frank LaPorte. Forrest records LaPorte’s men at the Eagles A-Go-Go in Calumet Park and the Keen Club A-Go-Go in Willow Springs, as well as the Miami Club in Willow Springs. Police identify the owners of these establishments as LaPorte henchmen Orland ‘Joe’ David and his brother Robert David. Forrest also records Shirley Tuffanelli, daughter of Babe Tuffanelli and Louis ‘Gigi’ Pratico. On the night he is murdered, Forrest is talking with George Tuffanelli and Sgt. Marvin O'Lena of the Blue Island Police Department. Jimmy Catuara has convinced Fiore ‘Fifi’ Buccieri to assist him in a battle to wrest control of Chicago Heights from Frank LaPorte. FBI source CG 6700-C, William Dauber, indicates Forrest was forcibly removed from the club and shot and killed by Louis Pratico and Sergeant Marvin O’Lena of the Blue Island Police Department.
